BECOME A CHANGEMAKER – CREATE A SMART AND SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY

The project is funded under the grant program “MEET UP! Youth for Partnership” by the German Foreign Office  and the Foundation ‘’Remembrance, Responsibility, and Future’’.

Duration: March-December 2022


The project aims to create a community of young sustainable change-makers, who would be actively involved in the creation of digital, innovative, and sustainable solutions for their local communities.

​By combining ICT, sustainable development, and entrepreneurial education, young people from Germany, Georgia, and Armenia will develop digital, ICT, and entrepreneurial skills in order to solve sustainability challenges and co-create innovative projects empowering local communities.

​PROJECT ACTIVITIES

​☑ In the framework of the project 30 young people aged 16-30 will participate from Germany, Georgia, and Armenia.

​☑ Project activities will include

- 'Sustainabilithon' digital hackathon solving sustainability challenges - April 30 - May 1, 2022 (Online) 

- Digital workshop, mentoring tasks for international groups - May 14, 2022 (Online)

​- Local workshop in Armenia - ​June 16-20, 2022 (Kalavan, Armenia)​

- Digital workshops related to sustainable innovation, ICT, and entrepreneurship - ​July 15, 2022 and August 15, 2022

- International workshop in Germany - ​September 4-9, 2022 (Germany)​

- International workshop in Georgia - ​October 1-5, 2022 (Georgia)


☑ All costs related to the program, materials, travel, accommodation, and food are covered by the program.


​HOW TO PARTICIPATE

➡ We are looking for young changemakers from small communities(small cities and villages), aged 16-30, who are passionate about community building, sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship and are willing to create innovative projects in order to improve their communities.


​In order to be able to participate actively in the project, participants should have at least an English language level B1.

ORGANIZERS

➡ Entrepreneurs Association aims to promote a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among young people and empower, motivate and support innovation-driven entrepreneurs and startup founders – particularly in rural areas of Georgia;
➡ Steinbeis Innovation is a global service provider for technology and knowledge transfer. Its purpose is to increase innovation (the creation of new products, methods, etc.), provide inspiration (help create new ideas) and to realize innovative ideas.
➡ ABCD Innovation Center works with an approach that catalyzes change and development based on utilizing the existing gifts and capacities of young people and their communities. It is mostly implementing projects aimed at empowering young people and developing their communities.
